Bykanov apiary

Bykanov apiary Apiary is located in central part of Russia, in Kursk region, which is called «breadbasket of Russia». The entire region holds vast agricultural fields, forests, and nature reserves. Aleksey is a professional agronomist, who follows a literate and even academic way of managing apiary work. Right now Bykanov apiary holds 200 beehives. Part of beehives is working on honeybee reproduction: reproduction of bee colonies and queens. Independent breeding of carnica breed bees allows you to maintain the strength and health of bee colonies. Healthiness of a bee colony is a key moment, which eliminates the use of antibiotics and other medications during the entire year.

Aleksey had been working as a head agronomist of Kursk region for many years, so he is well familiar with the local crop rotation and particular features of companies that own fields. This kind of knowledge allows him to choose the most advantageous field for honey collection, where no pesticides are applied.

Rapeseed and buckwheat are main honey plants in Kursk region right now, and so are wild flowers of the Central Black Earth State Nature Biosphere Reserve.
We started our partnership with buckwheat honey. Pollen analysis of buckwheat honey, collected in the beginning and the end of July this year showed respectively a 60% and 70% buckwheat content. Which is a really good result. Honey diastase is 30 Gothe units, the other parameters are also well above the requirements of GOST (State All-Union standard).
We are pleased to introduce our partner to you and buckwheat honey from the Bykanov apiary!
